Enabling the fabrication of advanced NiCo/Bi alkaline battery via MOF-hydrolyzing derived cathode and anode

Rechargeable alkaline battery is a potential high-powered next-generation electrochemical energy storage equipment. However, the inferior density, compare with other technologies, restrict its further practical applications. To address this, rational design and optimization of electrode significance. Herein, we demonstrate construction high density NiCo/Bi by controllable MOF hydrolysis. Specifically, hydrolysis conversion Bi-MOF into Bi2O3 performed on large scale for first time. The obtained flower-like present specific capacity, excellent rate capability stable cycles life. And series ex-situ characterizations were employed to trace phase transformation morphological changes in charge-discharge. Meanwhile, Ni/Co layered double hydroxide hierarchical microspheres also prepared via bimetallic Ni/Co-MOF. Furthermore, assembled NiCo//Bi based NiCo-LDH cathode anode perform 84.9 Wh/kg at 1600 W/kg, indicating
